My expertise supports their team across range of diverse needs of gathering, processing, and enriching the data.
I designed, delivered and continue to support BIOVALENT, a database of biodiversity footprint data for JYU.Wisdom.
What once was a collection of meticulously researched but cumbersome excel sheets at JYU School of Resource Wisdom, with millions of data points on global biodiversity impacts of various products, has been transformed into a robust, scalable database solution with a web application front-end to explore and download data. Furthermore, an open API now allows anyone to build automated solutions upon that data, opening doors to new possibilities in environmental research and green policy-making.
